Market Opportunity

Today, much of the operational data associated with the physical cargo transfer is gathered with spreadsheets, disparate systems, email and voicemail. So much of that data flows between external service providers (inspectors, agents, vessel owners & counter parties) and the trading organization making it difficult to standardize automated approaches. The lack of standardization and workflow automation, along with the inability to seamlessly integrate the operational data back into core systems are major problems plaguing today's trading operations departments. Not having a centralized information store for this information means that there is no way to effectively report on data that provides insight into day-to-day decisions. In addition, trading of bulk commodities has accelerated in recent years and there is a desire to standardize trading terms and language to facilitate trading and settlement of trades.
