Agency Watch™
Agency Watch consolidates all the operational information about a vessel's port calls. It records the movements and operational activities and presents them in one centralized system—showing everything on one page.
With Agency Watch, shipping agencies and their clients can see an evolving chronological picture of each port call, available in one place, anytime, and across the whole company.
Agency Watch—originally developed in 2001 as the Vessel Reporting System (VRS) for Transmarine Navigation, and since deployed to numerous other agencies—is a web-based application that helps shipping agents make port calls more efficient, and provide better service to their principals. It also allows agents to generate permanent appointment records as part of their daily work routine. The accumulated data can be used to generate day-to-day and historical reports, giving management access to valuable business information.

A shipping agent's role is to expedite a fast and efficient port call. To do so, he or she must make hundreds of time-sensitive decisions which can save or lose the principal thousands of dollars. Agency Watch has it own Documentation section, enabling users to produce Bills of Lading, Mate's Receipts, and other documents in the open and widespread Portable Document Format (PDF). These documents can be easily approved by your principals, and printed, emailed, or faxed away.
Agency Watch can automatically generate reports, saving time and tedium. Reports such as a company address book or a Daily Vessel Report for the Marine Exchange—which in the past were created manually by compiling information from many offices—can now be produced automatically by Agency Watch.
Better relationships with customers
Agency Watch can exchange information with other IT systems using industry standard Extensible Markup Language (XML), to automate data interchange with accounting systems, other shipping software, and custom applications. Navarik is also building a network of applications linking agents, shippers, and shipowners. In the future, Agency Watch will be able to communicate directly with those products, thereby closely linking agencies and their clients.
